Donation from the Freemasons

Chippenham Hospital Radio has recently received a generous donation from a local group of the Freemasons.

The group based at the Vale of Avon lodge visited our studio and Ian Dunbar, the Master of the Vale of the Lodge and his wife Maureen presented Chairman Ally Colley with a cheque to the sum of £586.18, following a recent fund raiser they had held.

Station Manager, Simon Hyde said: “We are incredibly grateful to the lodge and its members for supporting Chippenham Hospital Radio with such an amazing donation. The money will go towards on-going improvements to equipment and the running of the radio station”.

Philip Bullock, Provincial Grand Master said "The work of the hospital radio is so important to patients on the wards, it provides a wonderful service and I am delighted the Lodge chose to support the radio team".

Wiltshire Freemasons support a wide range of national and local charities. They not only raise and donate funds, but also contribute to charity by collecting and distributing gifts including food, chocolate, toys and toiletries to local hostels.
