Each year, Chippenham Town Council presents the Community Civic Awards (formerly Civic Awards) to individuals or local groups for services to the Town and people of Chippenham.

The Council has now launched this year's Civic Award Scheme and welcome applications to recognise those who have gone above and beyond over the last 12 months.

This year, the awards are split into categories:

Community Civic Awards: 2 individuals and 2 organisations will be recognised

Young Person’s Community Civic Awards (Up to the age of 18 or 25 with SEND): 1 individual and 1 organisation

The nominees need to be individuals or local groups who have fulfilled at least one of the following criteria recently.

• Made a material contribution to the advancement, well-being, and welfare of the people of Chippenham
• Supported charitable work carried out in the Town
• Assisted the work of the Town Council in a voluntary capacity
• Demonstrated outstanding citizenship.

Community Civic Sunday

Civic Awards are presented at the Civic Sunday event which will take place in July.

The closing date for submission of nomination forms is Saturday 28 February 2026.
