Changes to waste collections in February
From Monday 28 February, the household waste collection days for nearly all Wiltshire properties will change.
This change will only affect your general household waste collections – there is no change to recycling or garden waste collections, these will still take place on their usual day.
You do not need to do anything at the moment.
To ensure you’re informed about your new collection day, you will receive a letter that explains how your collection day will change and what you need to do.
You’ll also have a hanger label placed on your general household waste bin on your last collection under the old schedule, that will give you more information.
Letters should be received by 11 February 2022. If you have not received your letter by this date please contact Wiltshire council, or you can find your collection dates using their online calendar which can be found at https://ilforms.wiltshire.gov.uk/WasteCollectionDays/index
Changing the waste collection day for nearly every household in Wiltshire will enable the waste and recycling team to make their rounds more efficiently, reducing the number of collection vehicles used, which will reduce their carbon emissions and save more than £1.9m over the next five years.
