Chippenham Library launches new Reading Well scheme for teens

Chippenham Library has launched a new Reading Well for Teens book collection.

The Reading Well scheme supports the mental health and wellbeing of teenagers with information, advice and support to help them better understand their feelings, handle difficult experiences and boost confidence.

Reading Well books are all recommended by health experts, as well as people with lived experience of the conditions and topics covered and their relatives and carers.

You can be recommended a title by a health professional, or you can visit the library and take a book out yourself.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) has funded a universal roll-out of the reading lists to support mental health to every library service across England.

Many of the Reading Well titles are available to borrow as e-books and audiobooks.
