Could you be a foster carer
Every 20 minutes a young person comes into care. Could you give them a place to call home?
Wiltshire Council need local people to care for local children so that they can continue to maintain links with their friends, family, and schools in their local community.
Who Can Be A Foster Carer?
Wiltshire Council work with foster carers from all walks of life.
They welcome applications from people of all religions, sex, genders, race, age, sexual orientation and marital status.
As long as you're...
- over 21
- have a spare room (or you can use your own bedroom, if you have space for a cot, to foster a baby aged up to twelve months)
- healthy enough to meet the challenges and rewards fostering will provide
What Will You Be Paid?
There are three payment levels for foster carers:
- Carer
- Advanced
- Specialist
Payments range from £400 to £740 per week, per child plus generous holiday and birthday allowances.
We provide excellent training and development programmes to help and equip you in your role as a foster carer.
