Chippenham residents are being asked to keep an eye out for letters and reminders as part of the annual canvass 2026, and to respond promptly to help keep the electoral register accurate and up to date.

As the canvass continues, households who have not yet responded to initial communications may receive reminder letters or forms delivered to their property.

Each communication will explain whether a response is required and how to complete it.

Canvassers may begin visiting properties where no response has been received, with doorstep visits continuing until 19 October 2026. They will not engage with residents - but will post a canvass communication through the letterbox.

Residents can respond quickly and easily online at www.householdresponse.com/wiltshire. Responses can also be made by phone, text, or by returning the paper form.

Responding as soon as possible helps reduce the need for further reminder letters or visits and ensures records remain accurate so residents can take part in future elections.

Wiltshire Council encourages all residents to respond to the annual canvass electronically if they can as it's more convenient for residents and saves the council money and time.
