Name?

Martha Quarrie

When are you on air?

Every Sunday 12.00pm – 2.00pm

Tell us about your show...

My show is called the Sunday Reset and is all about ending your week with some nostalgic 90’s and 00’s tunes, with some 80’s sprinkled in. I’ll be covering the TikTok generation – songs that blew up on TikTok, Pop Kids – artists that have become famous before the age of 25, Screen Sundays – what’s going on at the movies at the moment, and iconic movie soundtracks and Say my Name – shining a light on songs that have been written for someone special.

What was your first job?

I worked at my Mums flower shop for I think two weekends, before we realised it wasn’t going to work – mainly because I didn’t do well with being told what to do by my mum.

What was the first song you bought?

The first album I remember owning and loving was S Club 7’s debut album ‘S Club’. I used to do regular performance of Reach, with choreography, in my living room.

What has been your best/worst radio moment?

I haven’t started yet – so the best and worst is yet to come!

Best thing about being a volunteer at Chippenham Hospital Radio?

The people – it’s been so lovely meeting a couple of the team, and to see all the wonderful things they do for and around the community.

What are the things that really wind you up?

Bad drivers, people not saying please and thank you, especially to service workers and a fly being stuck in my room when I’m trying to sleep.

If you could interview just one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

Dolly Parton for sure.

Favourite film:

Pride – it’s based on a true story about a group of lesbian and gay activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners' strike in 1984. It’s so heart-warming.

Favourite TV show (s) as a child:

Either Totally Spies or Powerpuff Girls.

Favourite TV show (s) as an adult:

I don’t watch much TV anymore, but I’d say the show that I always go back to is Peep Show.

Favourite song:

End of the World by Skeeter Davis – I love a sad song!

Favourite food

I love Thai food so much – my favourite is specially the Massaman Tofu from the Thai restaurant where I grew up!! I’ve never had a better Massaman curry in my life.

Favourite holiday destination

I don’t tend to go back somewhere I’ve already been because I just think there is so much out there to see! However, if I had to choose the most beautiful place I’ve ever been it would be St Lucia in the Caribbean.

Favourite place in Chippenham/Wiltshire

There is a gorgeous walk just outside Devizes which I love called the Leipzig Plantation.
